Research Scholarship in Sociology

The Department of Sociology at the University of Goettingen offers, as of 1.10.2009, a 6-months research scholarship for post-graduate students from Eastern Europe.
The scholarship is advertised within the framework of the Volkswagen Research Project “Europeanization, Multiple Modernities and Collective Identities – Religion, Nation and Ethnicity in an Enlarged Europe”. Applications are invited from post-graduate students from East-Central and South-Eastern Europe (including Turkey) who plan to prepare, develop, or complete during the autumn/winter term from October 2009 to March 2010 a doctoral thesis related to the VW project at Göttingen University.
The scholarship includes a monthly stipend of 1.100 EUR and covers a lump sum for travel expenses.
