POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS 2005/2006 CALL FOR CANDIDATES

The Collegio Carlo Alberto Foundation is a not-for-profit institution located in Moncalieri, near Turin, Italy, operating in the field of economics and finance. It hosts doctoral programmes of the University of Turin and several research centres (conducting, inter alia, research in the fields of social security, pension funds, labour economics). Candidates are invited to visit the Foundation's website: www.collegiocarloalberto.it.

Two research fellowships are being offered to post-doctoral scholars or those nearing the completion of their doctoral programme for two academic years, on a full-time basis, commencing October or November 2005. These fellowships may be renewed for an additional two years by mutual agreement.

Candidates are offered the possibility of carrying out research on a subject of their choosing within the field of economics and finance in an environment that allows them to interact on a daily basis with faculty, research staff and doctoral students. Individual offices are furnished with the latest in technical equipment. According to their individual fields of specialisation, the chosen candidates may be asked to do some teaching in a doctoral programme and/or to follow one or more dissertations. If they so wish, they may carry out their research in close collaboration with one of the Foundation's research centres.

The fellowship is for the amount of 42,000 euros (gross) per annum.

• a curriculum vitae
• a completed research paper
• a one to two-page research proposal
• two letters of reference

The final selection will be made by a commission appointed by the Board of the Foundation. The candidates selected will be notified by no later than 31 October 2005 and must confirm acceptance of the fellowship as soon as possible. In cases of refusal, the fellowship will immediately be offered to the next ranking candidate. The Foundation is under no obligation to award these fellowships should the candidatures received not be considered suitable.
