“Learning and living Europe”: NICE – BERLIN – ISTANBUL - ROME

The Institut européen des hautes études internationales (IEHEI), an international teaching and research institute in Nice, France,invites graduate students to apply for its Master programme 2010/11.

The programme’s aim is to give an overarching, encompassing vision of the political, social, economic, and cultural problems of today’s modern world. The courses are taught by renowned academics from various European countries, as well as experts from research institutions and practitioners from international organisations. They offer a multi-faceted view on Europe and give students the opportunity to discuss achievements and problems of Europe and to develop ways to handle them.

The Master in Advanced European and International Studies (M.A.E.I.S.) is subdivided into two branches:

• The trilingual one (teaching languages are English, French and German) includes two trimesters in Nice and one in Berlin as well as study weeks in Rome and Rostock.
• The anglophone branch includes trimesters in Istanbul, Nice and Berlin.
  Both branches organise a study trip to the European and international organisations in Geneva, Brussels and Strasbourg.

Subject Areas: International Relations, European Integration, Economy and Globalisation, Federalism and Governance.
Deadline for applications is 30 June 2010.
The courses take place from October 2010 to July 2011. After successfully completing the Master thesis and the oral exams participants are awarded the Master in Advanced European and International Studies (60 ECTS).
