JOSZEF Study Program
Program
The JOSZEF program prepares students from the WU for a management career in Central and Eastern Europe. It is a support program, which was designed in collaboration with corporate partners in order to nurture highly qualified students as prospective managers. In addition to the regular study program, JOSZEF students attain CEE competence and additional skills in CEE-management. In the winter term 2008/2009, a JOSZEF relaunch was started with a new curriculum that makes the program much more attractive: a JOSZEF core with a focus on CEE management, contact & access to JOSZEF corporate partners and contact with JOSZEF students from Central and Eastern Europe.
The JOSZEF program is a three semester program (incl. exchange semester) with the following core elements:
- Exclusive courses with a focus on CEE business and management
- CEE language acquisition
- Bachelor thesis with CEE focus
- Exchange semester at one of the WU partner universities in CEE
- Internship of at least one month with a CEE focus
JOSZEF core courses:
- East-West-Project Seminar
- Intercultural Competence in CEE
- Strategies & Management for CEE
- European Integration
- Modern History of Central and Eastern Europe
Application
Target group
The JOSZEF program is designed for undergraduate, as well as graduate students who have already completed the introductory year. If you are looking into a professional career in / with the CEE-region, you would benefit from the additional skills this program offers.
Candidate Profile
- Undergraduate or graduate students with completed introductory year
- Strong interest in the economic region of CEE
- Aspiration for a CEE-career
- Good grades
- The willingness to learn a CEE-language
- Solid knowledge of the English language
