Master in Economics and Market Policy (EMP)

The Laurea Magistralis EPM aims to provide students with skills and analytic training that are necessary to pursue careers as professional economists and for applied research in economics. REQUIREMENTS AND/OR ADMISSION TESTS
Admission requires a 1st cycle University Degree (Bachelor's Degree) or a comparable qualification in Economics, Political Sciences and international relations, Management
Sciences, Statistics. For first degrees different from the Classes listed above, the admission to LM-EPM is subject to a preliminary assessment by a jury, which will verify the applicants’ required skills and knowledge by means of an evaluation of the applicant’s CV and additional documents the applicants may be asked to provide. The jury, nominated by the Board of LM-EPM will establish a schedule, from September to December, for the screening of the applications, which will be published on the University web site. The Jury, nominated by the Board of LM-EPM, will select  the applications, which will be published on the website.

PROGRAMME CONTENT
The programme, which offers both core courses in quantitative economics and econometrics and a number of elective courses, has a flexible structure and can be tailored to suit both practitioners and research profiles. Students work closely with distinguished faculty Members and foreign professors from the Universities of Cambridge (U.K), Guelph and Waterloo (Ontario), Simon Fraser (British Columbia), HSE (Moscow), South Carolina (US) in a programme designed to meet individual research interests and professional goals. Compulsory courses cover Micro-Macroeconomics, Mathematics, Econometrics. Students have to choose among several elective courses. During the 2nd year students must prepare a dissertation. STUDENT FEES EXEMPTION FOR 6 TALENTED INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
The University of Bologna announces the availability for six grants to be assigned to talented students enrolling in the first year of the Laurea Magistralis/Master Degree Course in “Economics and Market Policy” at the Faculty of Economics, Rimini Campus for the academic year 2011/2012.

Selected students will be awarded with total exemption from students annual fees.

Eligible conditions:

  • to be NON EU citizen
  • to be EU citizen, with a school diploma eligible for admission in
    any Institution other than the Italian educational system
  • to be admitted or to be eligible to international degree courses
    (as referred in ministerial agreement MAE for academic year 2011/2012
