Research Fellowships at Palacký University in Olomouc, Czech Republic

Who can apply?
Fellowships are open to young scientist who finished their PhD studies in 2009 or 2010 (outside the Czech Republic ), not nationals of the Czech Republic. The fellowships are intended to allow their recipients to carry out their post-doc research at Palacký University and to contribute to the activities of the departments where they are received. They cover all fields of the research at the university.

What does the fellowship cover?
The fellowships have a  value of 30,000 CZK per month, and are awarded
for periods between three and six months, depending on the nature of the project
the applicant wishes to pursue. Accommodation, to be paid for by the fellowship recipients, is available in the university halls of residence. Fellowship recipients are responsible for their visa, travel costs and health insurance.

Applying for a fellowship
The application deadline is April 30th, 2011. The selection of fellowship recipients will be made by the Commission of the Vice-Deans for research from all faculties and approved by the Rector of Palacký University. Candidates will be informed about the result of the selection process without delay.

Application has to include:

• CV + list of publications
• abstract of the PhD. thesis and recommendation from the thesis supervisor
• proposed project description (max. 1 page) including the length
  and dates of stay at Palacký University
