More Information about the conference

The 21st century has brought rapid developments in the the field of nanotechnology and green energy. To be on the forefront of this cutting edge technology, students must keep pace with the trends by working together and continually improving their level of research and development.

The “Nano IS Green” conference on nanotechnology and green energy provides the platform that enables the development of international partnerships between students and researchers and gives students the opportunity to learn and discuss these contemporary issues. This conference is the premier forum for exposing young scholars to nanotechnology solutions for environmental issues. The conference aims to bring together leading students in the domain of interest from Europe and Israel.

The “Nano IS Green” conference will be held in Israel during the week of June 19th, 2011 and will take place in partnership with the "Bina" center for nanotechnology in Bar Ilan University.

Students from leading European universities, together with their Israeli counterparts, will participate in this five-day conference, comprised of academic lectures and discussions surrounding nanotechnology solutions for environmental issues.

Not only does this forum present the environment for high academic research and development, but it creates strong bonds between the participating students through hands-on trips and activities. The conference will include a three-day trip during which participants will visit state-of-the-art green nanotechnology facilities within Israel. The trip will also give participants the opportunity to catch a glimpse of Israel's widely varied cities, population and diverse culture.

The goal of the conference is to bring together today's brightest young nanotechnology scientists from various countries around the world and promote future partnerships through exposure to cutting edge technological development and social and cultural activities.
