Status: Planned
Amount of funding presumed available for this call for proposals:
The programme has an annual budget of approximately NOK 10 million.
Guidelines and important considerations relevant to all types of applications in this call for proposals:
The Norwegian-language call for proposals is the legally binding version.
Grants will be awarded for an uninterrupted research stay of 3-12 months at a Norwegian host institution, based on fixed monthly rates:

NOK 13 000 per month (without family).
NOK 26 000 per month (with family).
NOK 10 000 per person for travel expenses for applicants from non-European countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Egypt, India, Israel, Japan, Mexico and South Africa.
Grants are intended to cover documented settling in costs, and associated extra costs incurred in connection with the research stay in Norway. Any surplus may be liable to taxation, and will be subject to assessment by the tax authorities.

A family is defined as a fellowship-holder/researcher accompanied by a spouse, common-law partner or registered partner and any children. A common-law partner is a person with whom the individual has lived in a marriage-like relationship or shared a common address for the past two years.

The YGGDRASIL mobility programme is intended for younger researchers seeking to carry out a temporary research stay at a Norwegian research institution.

The grants will therefore not be awarded to:

researchers seeking to complete their degree in Norway;
researchers who obtained a doctoral degree prior to 1 August 2006;
non-Norwegian citizens who have resided in Norway since 31 July 2010 or earlier;
Norwegian citizens.
