Scholarships Available For Arts/Design/Fashion Studies In Italy

FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2006/2007, NABA PROVIDES 70 PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS, AVAILABLE TO STUDENTS OF EAST EUROPEAN COUNTRIES

The amount of the scholarship, which will be defined by a special commission, will range from a minimum of 1000 to a maximum of 2500 euro, the scholarship is renewable for all the three years of studies, according to the average of the grades obtained by the student after the first year. Other expenses, such as accommodation and travel expenses to Italy will be upon the candidates. Preliminary conditions for every candidate are:

  • Being 18 years of age or older.
  • Being a citizen of one of the following countries: Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Romania, Czech republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland.
  • Having successfully completed high school (with 12 years of education, according the European Educational System).

Scholarships will be also available for students in 1st or 2nd year of university (in all the fields of classical and modern fine arts, all fields of design, fashion and media/communication) who would like to further their studies in Italy, Furthermore, due to the recent law on work permits for students (Law n. 394, Aug 31, 1999), every candidate will have the opportunity to attend lessons also in afternoon/evening courses, thus having a part-time job during the daytime (EU citizens are eligible to the same amount of working hours as Italian citizens, while citizens of non-EU states are limited to 20-hours part time work per week).

In order to participate in the selection, every candidate should submit the following:

  • Application form, filled out and signed.
  • A copy of the portfolio with recent works (on a CD-Rom or other support, with a number of 10 -15 works)
  • An updated copy of the Curriculum Vitae and a motivation letter
  • A letter of introduction or reference from a previous professor/teacher of the last school/faculty attended
