PhD Position in Neuroeconomics at The Kiel Institute for the World Economy in Germany, 2013

University of Kiel, The Kiel Institute for the World Economy offers doctoral position in the field of neuroeconomics in Germany. The position is based on the German public pay scale (TV-L 13 for PhD-positions). The duration of doctoral position is initially for two years, with the perspective of subsequent prolongation for the complete duration of this project (three years). Applicants must hold a diploma or master degree in one of these or related disciplines to apply. Students must have proficiency in English and should have an experience with mathematical or statistical software. The person with disability is encouraged to apply.

Study Subject(s): The scholarship is provided in neurobiological foundations of economic decision making under uncertainty and excessive risk taking.

Eligibility:

The PhD-position is part of a large interdisciplinary project.

  • The topic is in the field of neuroeconomics in which economists, psychologists and neuroscientists are involved. Therefore, candidates holding a diploma or master degree in one of these or related disciplines are invited to apply.
  • Applicants need to be fluent in English.
  • Experience with mathematical or statistical software is advantageous.
