2013 LMU Mentoring Scholarships for International PhD Students in Germany

The Office of International Affairs of the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich is offering mentoring scholarships for three extraordinarily qualified international PhD students. Total offer is of the maximum amount of € 400.00 per month goes in line with the hourly rate for graduate assistants. The funding is limited up to six months at the most. Application should be submitted till March 25, 2013.

Study Subject(s): Scholarships are offered for active tutoring of the PhD-students in the courses offered by the university.
Course Level: This scholarship is available for pursuing six months mentoring and assisting at PhD level.

Eligibility: The application must consist of the description of the planned function of the PhD student, the approximate scope of mentoring time and of the candidate’s CV. These scholarships reward the active tutoring of the PhD-students. Supportive tasks, such as mentoring and assisting, should contribute to the international exchange.
Note: Those students who have already got funded in the academic year 2012 or who are receiving a scholarship by the DAAD cannot be considered.

Scholarship Description: Within the framework of the Scholarships and care program STIBET for international PhD-students and postdocs, promoted by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and funded by the “Auswärtiges Amt” (AA-Foreign Office ), the Office of International Affairs of the LMU has the possibility to award mentoring scholarships in 2013.
Number of award(s): LMU supports three extraordinarily qualified international PhD students can be supported individually during the summer semester 2013.

Duration of award(s): The funding is limited up to six months at the most.
