   Arts & Humanities Studentships for King’s College London 

Up to 80 PhD studentships available for postgraduate students applying for arts & humanities research programmes at King’s College London

The AHRC-funded London Arts & Humanities Partnership (LAHP) has up to 80 PhD studentships available for postgraduate students applying for a doctoral programme in arts and humanities at King’s College London, School of Advanced Study (University of London) or University College London. These awards will cover tuition fees for a maximum of three years at the UK/EU rate and an annual maintenance grant or allowance (stipend). LAHP is a Doctoral Training Partnership in conjunction with UCL and SAS (University of London) and is sponsored by the Arts & Humanities Research Council.

Studentships are open to current students as well as students starting their research in 2015. If you have already started your doctoral study, you can still apply for funding for the rest of your study as long as you still have at least 50% of your study remaining at the start of September 2015.

LAHP studentships are open to UK and EU students who meet the Arts and Humanities Research Council’s residency requirements. EU students can apply for LAHP funding on exactly the same basis as UK students.

If you hold a first-class or good upper second class Honours degree or equivalent and a Masters degree, you are able to apply for a studentship. Your research topic needs to be within the subject areas covered by the Arts & Humanities Research Council and includes history, philosophy, religious studies, music, film, theatre, writing, English, digital humanities, cultural and creative industries and politics.

Before you apply for a LAHP studentship you need to have applied for admission to King’s College London. We strongly recommend that you submit your admissions application to King’s before Friday 16th January 2015.
