Odjel psihologije na Svečilištu Oslo nudi stipendiju na razini doktorskog studija na području eksperimentalne socijalne  psihologije. Stipendija se dodjeljuje za sudjelovanje na istraživačkom projektu "Phenomenology and outcomes of feeling touched or moved". Stipendija iznosi od 48,870-53,736 eura te je otvorena za sve studente koji imaju završen diplomski studij na području psihologije.

PhD Research Fellowship in Experimental Social Psychology

Description

A PhD research fellowship in experimental social psychology is available at the Department of Psychology, University of Oslo. The fellowship is part of the research project "Phenomenology and outcomes of feeling touched or moved."

The project aims to study subjective experience, appraisals, physiological correlates, and motivational outcomes of the emotion of being moved, a frequent but understudied emotional experience. The appointment is either for a period of three years (with no teaching requirement), or for a period of four years with a 25% teaching requirement.

Eligibility

The department is looking for qualified and highly motivated candidates with the following requirements:

  • A master’s degree or equivalent in psychology, or a cand. psychol. degree, qualifying for admission to the PhD programme at the Department of Psychology (note the requirement of a 2 year MA or equivalent);
  • Applicants with grade points A or B on the ECTS scale will normally be qualified for admission to the PhD programme;
  • Knowledge and experience in experimental social psychology and solid knowledge of its standard statistical methods are required;
  • Knowledge and experience in the field of emotion research are highly valued;
  • Knowledge and experience with online data collection, programming, and psycho-physiological measures are highly valued;
  • Excellent written or spoken English language skills;
  • Norwegian language skills or the readiness to acquire an adequate level quickly. Courses and seminars that are part of the PhD programme will normally be held in Norwegian.

Scholarship

The position is remunerated by salary of the level 50 – 57 NOK 430,500 – 483,700, (approximately EUR 48,870 – 53,736). Moreover, research fellows will obtain attractive welfare benefits and pension arrangements in the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund.
