Applications are invited for PhD fellowship in Physics of Biological Systems at Niels Bohr Institute, the University of Copenhagen for the year 2016. International applicants, are eligible to apply for this fellowship.
This project aims for the formulation of theoretical models to understand bacterial survival strategies.
Copenhagen University’s goal is to carry out research of the highest quality, offering research-based education at the highest academic level and to disseminate new and traditional knowledge to the scientific community as to the surrounding community.
Applicants are required to have good communication skills in English, both oral and written.
Course Level: Fellowship is available for pursuing Ph.D. programme.
Study Subject: Fellowship is awarded in Physics of Biological Systems at Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen.
Scholarship Award: The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff. Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State. The starting salary is currently at a minimum DKK 306,667 including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 42,361). Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for fellowship:
Applicants should hold an MSc degree in a relevant scientific discipline with good results and good English skills. As criteria for the assessment of their qualifications emphasis will also be laid on previous publications (if any) and relevant work experience.
Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are eligible to apply for this fellowship programme.
