Miami University International Education Scholarships

Miami University receives applications for admission from international undergraduate students from more than 75 countries around the world. In order to recognize these academically-talented students and attract them to join our university community, Miami provides a variety of merit-based scholarships called International Education Scholarships. These renewable scholarship awards (available only students in an F-1 or J-1 visa status) range in values of up to $10,000 per year. Although financial need is not considered for these merit-based awards, the International Education Scholarships do enable many international students with modest financial need to attend and graduate from Miami University.

All eligible international undergraduate applicants who complete their applications for admission by March 1 for the fall semester (which starts in August) or October 1 for the spring semester (which starts in January) are automatically considered for an International Education Scholarship. Although no separate application is required in order to be considered for these scholarships, all applicants who wish to enroll at Miami as F-1 or J-1 students must still complete the Confidential Financial Statement in the Application for International Undergraduate Students and submit supporting financial documentation.
