American University's School of International Service - Hall of Nations Award, a merit-based scholarship: $33,000
The School of International Service (SIS) is the largest school of international relations in the United States. Comprised of over 65 full-time faculty members spread over eight fields of study, SIS encourages applications from students with a wide variety of backgrounds. There is no typical SIS student except each is committed to an international career and public service, has international experience, knows a second language, and possesses a spirit of inquiry and involvement.

Scholarships for international students at American University are extremely competitive and very limited.
If you are admitted, your application will be automatically reviewed for an academic scholarship. If you are interested in academic scholarships, you must submit your completed application with all required documents by January 15, including your proof of English language proficiency. We encourage you to take the SAT I as well.
