50 Partial Scholarships at New York Film Academy

The New York Film Academy has announced the availability of 50 partial scholarships for exceptional students to attend either a One-Year Filmmaking Program, a One-Year Acting for Film Program, or a One-Year Producing Program at the Film Academy’s location in New York City or Universal Studios, Hollywood.

Qualified students will receive the scholarship worth 50% of the total tuition fee for the course. Filmmaking scholarships are $17,000 (total tuition is $34,000), Acting for Film scholarships are $12,000 (total tuition is $24,000), and Producing scholarships are $12,500 (total tuition is $25,000).

Scholarships are valid for the following start dates:

• One-Year Filmmaking March 6 or June 5, 2008
• One-Year Acting for Film, March 5 or June 4, 2008
• One-Year Producing, January 11, 2008

Application Deadline: December 1, 2007.

Applicants must complete the standard application and submit a written statement (500 - 1000 words) regarding their qualifications, and why they believe they should receive this scholarship. Prior experience in filmmaking or acting is not necessary.
