The Light House Poverty Research Center to increase cooperation in the field of poverty alleviation organizes an International Poverty Symposium between 17-19 October 2007 in Istanbul/TURKEY.

• Sustainability, Natural Resources and Poverty

• Knowledge, Management and Poverty

Date

Symposium will be held between 17-19 Octorber 2007 in Istanbul. It is organised by The Light House Poverty Research Center with the sponsorship of national and international organisations.

Abstracts

Participants/speakers should submit their abstracts until June 10,2007, which are not more than 250 words, to the symposium secretariat via e-mail. The abstract review outcomes will be announced in June 15,2007.

Manuscripts

Upon acceptance, a conference manuscript should be submitted to symposium secretariat until September 15,2007. Their manuscript reviews will be announced in October 1,2007.

• All the manuscripts should be written in Microsoft-Word format.
• All submitted documents should also be written in APA writing style. For APA-style visit http://apastyle.apa.org/  
• Papers can be submitted in English or in Turkish. In Turkish papers, an English abstract, which is not more than 250 words should be added.
•  All documents should include a keyword section, written in both in English and Turkish.

The Language

The languages of the symposium are English and Turkish.

The transportation and accommodation will be provided on the basis of availabilities.
