Temple University, in partnership with EducationUSA, is one of 15 campuses in the U.S. offering a fun-filled program to high school students ages 15 to 17. Students will:
- get better in their English;
- learn about history and culture in America's first World Heritage City - Philadelphia
Temple University offers four different programs for students to choose from:
- University Academy – traditional academy which gives a general introduction to university expectations, life and culture in the U.S. with a focus on U.S. history and culture
- Art & Design Academy – students will spend the mornings taking a class at Tyler School of Art in painting, photography, digital design and more.
- Film Academy – students will create a short film from writing, casting, directing, filming & editing at the Film & Media Arts Program.
- Music Academy – students will study music theory & history with the Boyer College of Music & Dance in order to prepare for music school entrance exams.
Eligibility & Requirements
In order to apply for the EducationUSA Academy at Temple University, an applicant needs to be:
- high school students who are 15-17 years old;
- have a minimum English proficiency of B1 as indicated by the Common European Framework (CEF);
- provide a letter of recommendation from an English teacher which includes the student’s English proficiency level.
