EMBO Installation Grants
strengthening life sciences across Europe

The aim of this new scheme is to strengthen science in Croatia.
The grants will help scientists to set up their labs in Croatia and rapidly establish a reputation in the European scientific community.
Successful applicants will receive EUR50,000 annually (for 3-5 years) from the NZZ via EMBO.

APPLICATION
Application forms should be completed by the individual scientists and the receiving institute.
All candidates coming to Croatia have to apply to the NZZ too. (Application form here).
The grants have an annual application date.
This year’s application date is 15 April 2007.

ELIGIBILITY
Eligible scientists should:
• have an excellent publication record
• have spent two consecutive years outside the country that they are applying for
• be negotiating a full-time position at an institute/university in participating member states by the date of application.  

No age limit applies.

SELECTION PROCESS
The selections will be made by the EMBO Young Investigator Programme Committee.
