This unique, multidisciplinary, MA programme provides students with the analytical tools and skills to comprehend global developments in today’s changing world and to grasp the political, historical, and economic developments in Russia, the European Union, and their mutual neighbourhood. Students are involved in a dynamic process of active learning in which the focus on global developments combines academic quality and the most innovative teaching techniques. Established in 2008, our programme is one of the first international programmes taught in English at the University of Tartu and celebrates this year its 10th anniversary. It combines a long-standing tradition of assured quality with a vocation to innovation and internationalization. Through one-on one-mentorship, we support the personal and academic development of each student. We aim to build a community of learners where a blend of cultures and traditions combines into a stimulating learning environment. Only in the 2018/19 academic year, we enrolled students from 15 different countries ranging from the United States and Spain to Russia and Japan. With us you can meet the whole world in Tartu!
Our graduates are currently working in ministries, parliaments, embassies, EU institutions, international bodies, regional organizations, NGOs, media outlets, private companies and third sector and are part of a well-established global network of alumni that are ready to help you to connect to the world!
