The Higher Education and Scholarships Fair organized by the Institute for the Development of Education is a unique event of national importance which presents scholarships, study programmes and other educational programmes and services available to Croatian citizens in Croatia and abroad.

The Fair is of special significance for the development of higher education in Croatia because scholarships and other forms of financial aid can contribute to widening of participation in higher education for disadvantaged social groups. Additionally, the scholarships increase the international mobility of the Croatian academic community and encourage student excellence.

The Institute for the Development of Education is the founder of the Fair and has been organizing it since 2005. The Fair become a recognizable, high profile Croatian educational brand and a highly esteemed initiative promoting investment in knowledge and human resources.

The Higher Education and Scholarships Fair is a nonprofit event and the funds obtained from donations, sponsorships and participation fees are used to finance the organisation of the Fair.
 

Why the Higher Education and Scholarships Fair?

The main goal of the Fair is to present available scholarship and financial aid programmes available to Croatian students for study in Croatia and abroad.

In order to provide the Fair visitors with all information needed to successfully apply for scholarship programmes, this year's Fair is the first to present a variety of study and education programmes, as well as, services which can additionally strengthen the candidate's profile and the quality of their application.
 

Exibitors

Institutions traditionally exhibiting at the Fair include those offering scholarships and different forms of financial aid for study in Croatia and abroad. This year, the exhibitors will also include institutions presenting their study programmes, language courses, translation services for application documents, as well as, institutions offering other educational programmes and services. In this way, the Fair becomes an event where visitors can find all the information and services needed for successful application to study and scholarship programmes in Croatia and abroad.

Scholarship and educational programmes will be presented by Croatian and international higher education institutions, state institutions, embassies and foreign cultural centres, private companies, foundations and non-profit organizations.
 

Target groups

The Fair is intended for all those interested in scholarships and other forms of financial aid for study, especially high school students preparing for study, students at all levels of study and young professionals interested in achieving their educational goals in Croatia and abroad.
