Vanderbilt University Full Tuition Scholarships, USA

Description

Each year Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennesee (USA) awards merit-based scholarships to applicants who demonstrate exceptional accomplishment and intellectual promise. These students represent the top 1 percent of all freshman applicants to Vanderbilt, and with the limited number of merit scholarships available, the selection process is very competitive.

All merit-based scholarships offered at Vanderbilt are renewable through four years of undergraduate study as long as the recipient maintains satisfactory academic performance. Each of the four undergraduate schools awards a number of scholarships proportionate to the school’s enrollment. Financial need is not a factor unless otherwise indicated.

The approximately 250 recipients of these scholarships—one of our three signature scholarship programs—are guaranteed full-tuition awards plus summer stipends for study abroad, research or service projects.

Vanderbilt has three signature scholarship programs: Ingram Scholars, Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholars, and Chancellor’s Scholars.

Ingram Scholars

The Ingram Scholars Program is for students who plan to combine a professional or business career with an exceptional commitment to community service. The program supports students who are committed to developing their personal roles in the solution to societal problems and who have the maturity and initiative to lead positive social change.

To apply to the Ingram Scholarship Program students must submit the Ingram Scholarship Program application by midnight (CST) December 1. Students must also submit their Vanderbilt University application for admission by either November 1 (Early Decision I) or January 3 (Early Decision II and Regular Decision).

The scholarship application for High School Seniors may be found HERE or obtained by calling the Office of Student Financial Aid and Undergraduate Scholarships at +1 (615) 322-3591. Current Vanderbilt First Year and Sophomore students please use the application found HERE.

The Vanderbilt University merit scholarship application consists of two parts. Part I contains student biographical data. Part II consists of three supplemental forms, one for each of the signature merit scholarship programs. Students applying to scholarship programs must submit the relevant supplemental forms for each scholarship program for which they wish to be considered, but need only submit Part I once.

Students applying to the Ingram Scholarship Program must also submit two letters of reference. Learn more here.
