PhD Scholarships in Energy and Environment Research at University of Hull

Applications are invited for 20 full-time PhD scholarships and international fees bursaries at University of Hull. Scholarships are awarded in any aspect of the Energy and Environment theme within the University. Studentships will start on 29 September 2014. Applicants will be expected to hold a minimum of a UK upper second class Honours degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline. Scholarship includes fees at the ‘home/EU’ student rate and maintenance for three years depending on satisfactory progress. Application deadline is 3rd February 2014.

Eligibility:
-Applicants will be expected to hold a minimum of a UK upper second class Honours degree, or equivalent, in an appropriate discipline.
-To be eligible for these awards, applicants must demonstrate in their proposal that their research draws upon insights from more than one discipline. Supervision will be provided jointly by a minimum of two researchers from different disciplines.

Scholarship Open for International Students: UK/EU or international students can apply for these PhD scholarships.

Scholarship Description: To celebrate the University’s research successes, the University of Hull is offering 20 full-time UK/EU PhD Scholarship or International Fees Bursaries for candidates applying for the areas within the Research Themes. Full-time UK/EU PhD Scholarship will include fees at the ‘home/EU’ student rate and maintenance (£13,726 in 2014/15), subject to final confirmation) for three years, depending on satisfactory progress. Full-time International Fee PhD Studentships will include full fees at the International student rate for three years, dependent on satisfactory progress but no maintenance.

Number of award(s): 20 full-time PhD scholarships will be offered.

Duration of award(s): These PhD scholarships will be offered for three years.
