Coburg University of Applied Sciences and Arts u suradnji s University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) dodjeljuje stipendije za diplomski studij koje financira DAAD. Cijeli program je na engleskom jeziku, a studenti će imati mogućnost učiti i njemački te mandarinski. Ljetni semestri održavaju se u Shanghaiu, a zimski u Coburgu.

Prilikom prijave, kandidati moraju priložiti potvrdu o znanju engleskoga jezika.

Coburg University of Applied Sciences and Arts in collaboration with University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) is offering Masters degree program funded by DAAD.
The entire programme is taught in English. Language courses in German and Mandarin are offered.

Programme duration

Four semesters (two years)
Classes in Shanghai take place in the summer semester, the winter semester is to be completed in Coburg.

Course Objectives

The objective of AIMS is to qualify students to use the methods and technologies of sensor technology, computer-based measurement technology, analytic instruments, nanometrology, optoelectric sensor technology, and digital signal processing. Students are also trained in the application of these methods and technologies by means of various practical projects. The programme allows participants to increase their theoretical knowledge and practical experience. They will be able to network and to participate in projects with industrial and scientific partners.

Course content

The international Master’s programme Analytical Instruments, Measurement and Sensor Technology (AIMS) covers subjects connected with the sensor market, which is growing on a worldwide scale. The fields of instrumental analytics, measurement and sensor technology are of outstanding practical importance for a wide variety of highly innovative industrial sectors, all of which have substantial economic impact and involve many scientific disciplines. Our cooperation with the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) allows students to focus on the international aspects of the industry.

Main courses: Sensor Technology, Mathematical Data Analysis, Computer-Based Measurement, Digital Signal Processing, Nanometrology, Photoelectric Detection
Electives: Computer Simulation of Sensors and Actuators, Chemical Sensors, Methods of Instrumental Analysis, Microacoustic Sensors, Design of Experiments, Scientific Documentation and Reporting, Medical Imaging Technologies, Risk of Investment in Emerging Technologies, Flow Measurement, Medical Imaging Technology, Automotive Electronics

Tuition fees       3,500 EUR per semester

Language requirements         

The entire programme is taught in English. Proficiency in English at Master’s programme level (i.e. TOEFL, IELTS or equivalent) is required.

Required documents are:

  • completed application, printed out and signed
  • one passport-sized photo
  • official certified copies of all of your diplomas
  • original transcripts of grades or official copies
  • TOEFL/IELTS or UNIcert® (for English language) scores
  • copy of passport
  • Applicants must also submit a letter of motivation. They will be informed by email, if their application is accepted.

Successful applicants will be invited for an interview in order to assess their professional and personal qualifications with respect to this transnational program, either locally in Coburg or by telephone or other telecommunication devices.

The deadline for application for winter semester is August 31st for German students and June 30th for foreign students (because the visa application process needs more time).
