Sveučilište u Oslu dodjeljuje četiri stipendije na Odsjeku za lingvistiku i skandinavske studije.

Prijaviti se mogu kandidati s odličnim poznavanjem relevantnoga područja. Također, kandidati moraju priložiti rezultate jednog od standardiziranih testova (TOEFL, IELTS,CAE,CPE) kao dokaz o poznavanju engleskoga jezika.

Up to four positions as a PhD student is available within the areas represented at the Department of Linguistics and Scandinavian Studies (ILN), University of Oslo. This fellowship is awarded to Norwegian and foreign applicants.
University offers a number of general and subject-specific funding schemes. The aim of the fellowship is to attract the best and most motivated people to Norway.
The University of Oslo, is the oldest, largest and most prestigious university in Norway that attracts students and researchers from all over the world.
A good command of English is required for all students attending the University of Oslo. International students, PhD research fellows and postdoctoral research fellows who are not native speakers of English must document their proficiency in English.


Course Level: Fellowship is available for PhD programme.


Study Subject: Fellowship is available within the areas represented at the Department of Linguistics and Scandinavian Studies (ILN), University of Oslo.
 

Scholarship Award: Fellowship includes:

  • pay grade 50-56 (430 500-475 400 per year, depending on experience)
  • development in a stimulating academic environment
  • good veldferdsordninger

Eligibility: Criteria is:

  • masters with very good results in relevant field or equivalent education. Final grade will be obtained at time of application.
  • personal fitness and motivation for the position

In assessing the applications will be emphasized:

  • applicants’ academic and personal ability to complete the project within the timeframe
  • applicant’s ability to complete research training
  • good interpersonal skills and the ability to join in professional societies across disciplines
  • project’s scientific quality, including timeliness and innovation

Nationality: Norwegian and foreign applicants can apply for the fellowship.


College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Masters with very good results in relevant field or equivalent education.


Test Requirement: Not Required
 

English Language Requirements: A good command of English is required fr all students attending the University of Oslo. International students; PhD research fellows and post-doctoral research fellows who are not native speakers of English, must document their proficiency in English by taking one of the following internationally recognized tests

  • TOEFL – Test of English as a Foreign Language
  • IELTS – International English Language Testing Service
  • certificate in Advanced English (CAE) and Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) from the University of Cambridge

Applicants to the programme for the PhD degree in Science must obtain a minimum score of 550 (paper-based) or 213 (computer-based) or 80 (internet-based) on the TOEFL test, or a minimum score of 6.5 from the  IELTS (academic) test. The same applies to applicants for postdoctoral research fellow positions.

Applicants must submit the following attachments with the electronic application, preferably in pdf format:

  • letters describing the applicant’s qualifications and motivation for the position
  • Curriculum Vitae (with list of education, employment, teaching experience, administrative experience and other qualifying activities, as well as published and unpublished works)
  • transcript for Masters. Applicants with education from a foreign university are requested to enclose a guide to grading by their university
  • project 3-5 pages including work schedule and a brief statement of which one (s) of the department’s subject areas the project will be linked
