French Government grants from the French Embassy in Croatia - Master and PhD

These grants from the French Embassy and the Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sports are offered to Croatian students who want to continue their studies in France. It concerns exclusively the Master and doctoral levels.

Program description

Before applying it is importat to have already some contact with French university or research centre.

• Value/Benefits: 780 euros/month, travel expenses
• Duration: 9 months
• Number of grants: 8-10/year
• Grant funded by: French government; Foreign governments

Eligibility criteria

• Age: Age limit 36 years
• Nationality: Croatia
• Subject area: All
• Level: Master; PhD; PostDoc

Language skills

• Spoken French is an advantage but not a condition when communication and work with French parterns can be conducted in another foreign language, notably English.

Additional criteria

• Excellence of the candidate Choice of the French institution.

Application process

The applications must be sent to the French Embassy and the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports.

• Certificate of Croatian nationality
• CV and cover letter
• Certificate of admittance or registration
• Bachelor's degree (three years or more)

Selection process

The selection is done by a commission composed of the representatives of the French Embassy and the Ministry or persons designated by the Ministry. Candidates who send the required documents are invited to an interview with the commission.
