Announcement of research fellowships

In the framework of the Alps-Adria Working Community and with the financial support of the autonomous Region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia 

The University of Trieste for the year 2007 provides two research fellowships for a maximum length of five months each.

The grants will be awarded to young researchers who are citizens of the regions and republics of the Alps-Adria Working Community. Italian citizens cannot apply.
The fellowships are intended for research projects on subjects which are of particular interest for the Alps-Adriatic Region.

These fellowships, each of € 5.000, will be allocated by the University of Trieste, upon the final judgment of a special Commission nominated by the same University.

The fellowships are open to all the research subject areas established at the University of Trieste and, particularly, to those areas of special importance to the Alps-Adriatic Region.

Purpose of the fellowship is to offer a first, real opportunity to approach the academic institutions in Italy, by using structures and facilities of the University of Trieste.

Requirements for admission

• Age limit 35 years;
• Advanced degree or equivalent qualification (M.A. or M.Sc.) obtained in one of the member countries of the Alps-Adria Working Community.

The following documents should be submitted with an application:

• curriculum vitae;
• description of the research project;
• copy of the graduation certificate;
• certificate of Italian language skills;
• list of publications (if applicable);
• letter of recommendation from the home University;
• letter of acceptance from the supervisor research teacher at the University of Trieste.
