The International Master in Social Policy Analysis

IMPALLA programme will offer a solid theoretical foundation in comparative socio-economic policies, at the European level and beyond. You will be provided with a thorough training in advanced research methodology and given a well-grounded expertise in policy evaluation, while developing the corresponding technical skills.

Application procedure

As the IMPALLA programme leads to a diploma issued by the K.U. Leuven, candidates have to follow a specific application procedure as described below.

1. Take the TOEFL test or IELTS test
2. Complete the IMPALLA specific requirements form (attached)
3. Complete the Statistical test (attached)
4. Submit the online K.U.Leuven application form and make a printout
5. Provide the following additional documents:

• A certified copy of your master's diploma and transcripts of academic records
• Translation of diploma if not in English, Dutch or French
• 2 passport photos
• Copy of passport
• A proof of solvency
• A proof of payment (bank transfer) of the application fees

6. Compose your application package by including all documents listed above
7. Make a photocopy of the complete set
8. Add two reference letters
9. Send the application package, the copy and the reference letters by regular mail, express mail or registered mail to:

Upon receipt of the hardcopy of your complete application package, the International Admissions an Mobility Unit of K.U.Leuven will start the admissions evaluation procedure. The Admission Committee of the Leuven Faculty of Social Sciences will then start the admission procedure to decide whether you will be admitted to the programme.

IMPALLA Grant

Financial support by the programme is possible. It can take different formats: stipend or rent contribution or a combination of both. The selection for grants is treated separately from the selection of the students. The decision is made after an evaluation of the students’ financial situation based on the information given in the application form and requested documents giving evidence of their financial means.
