Every summer from late June to early August the ISS welcomes some 500 students from all over the world to its wide variety of graduate and undergraduate courses.

The ISS offers 13 undergraduate courses mainly focusing on Norwegian language, culture and society, and seven graduate level courses centered on topics of broad international interest.

The application deadline for 2009 is February 1, 2009.

Scholarship applicants must complete two forms: The General Application form and a separate Scholarship Application form obtainable from the ISS office, or from a Norwegian Embassy or Consulate General.

NORAD has also granted a limited number of scholarships for applicants from NORAD's main partner countries. NORAD scholarships are earmarked for graduate (master's) courses that require the applicants to have completed a bachelor degree and to have specific professional experience. Applicants to undergraduate level courses are not eligible for NORAD scholarships.
