Fellowship: € 3.500 – € 5.300 per month
Description
For 2013/ 14, Fellowships are available for a period up to twelve months commencing in October 2013. Applications are invited from noted and established scholars in the history of Eastern Europe or neighboring disciplines with a clear preference for projects focusing on East Central and South Eastern Europe. Additional Junior Fellowships will be advertised in due course.
Fellows are expected to conduct a larger scholarly project corresponding to the research profile of the Kolleg. Fellows are expected to work at the Imre Kertész Kolleg and to reside in Jena.
Stipends range from € 3.500 to € 5.300 per month according to the academic position at the home institution.
Eligibility
- Applicants must hold a PhD (Applicants for Junior Fellowships must have submitted their doctoral thesis)
- Applicants should propose a research project within the thematic range of the Imre Kertész Kolleg (Focus on the 20th Century and on Central and Eastern Europe and South Eastern Europe)
- Applications from neighboring disciplines are encouraged.

- list of publications
- project proposal in English (not exceeding 5 pages) that covers:
- Central questions and methodological approach
- Relevance in view of state of research
- Place within the research program of the Kolleg
- Pre-studies realised so far
- Work schedule for stay in Jena
- Planned form of publication (article, monograph etc.)
- a statement on the relevance of the research project to the Kolleg’s research profile (not exceeding 2 pages)
