Justice Malek Ahmad Scholarship at University of the West of England in UK, 2014

University of the West of England offers master scholarship for international students. Candidate should have an unconditional offer by 31st May of a place to study a one year postgraduate programme at UWE which they have firmly accepted. One full tuition fee scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding student to study a one year master programme. The scholarship also covers accommodation costs of up to £3,000. 31st May 2014 is the application deadline.

Eligibility:

Eligible students must:
-have achieved the equivalent of a British 1st in their undergraduate degree;
-have an unconditional offer by 31 May of a place to study a one year postgraduate programme at UWE which they have firmly accepted;
-be a new student and be classed as overseas for fees purposes;
-not be a sponsored student or in receipt of another scholarship/award.

Scholarship Open for International Students: International students can apply for this scholarship.

Scholarship Description: One full tuition fee scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding student to study a one year masters programme. The scholarship also covers accommodation costs of up to £3,000. This scholarship is awarded in the memory of Justice Malek Ahmad, President of the Court of Appeal Malaysia (deceased). The recipient of this scholarship will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Development Office and other departments and will also be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of the course.

Number of award(s): One scholarship will be offered.

Duration of award(s): Scholarship will be offered for one year.

Selection Criteria: Applicants will be selected on the basis of academic merit and the information that is provided in their application form and statement.

Notification: Applicants will be informed about decision by 30th June 2014.
