Wolfson Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships at University of Edinburgh

 


University of Edinburgh is offering three postgraduate scholarships in the field of History, Literature and Languages. These postgraduate scholarships are available for the students starting their PhD research at the University in the 2014-2015 academic session. Each award has a value of £26,000 per annum which will cover tuition fees and contribute towards research and training costs for up to three years. Applicants must have a first class honours degree at undergraduate level and a Master’s degree from a recognized university. The application deadline is 3 February 2014.


Eligibility: The scholarships are available for doctoral research only. Applicants should have an outstanding academic record, usually with a first class honours degree at undergraduate level and a master’s degree from a recognized university in a cognate field of study to their proposed doctoral research.

Scholarship Open for International Students: International students can apply for these scholarships.

Scholarship Description: The Wolfson Foundation will offer three research scholarships for students starting their PhD research at the University in the 2014-2015 academic session in the following three disciplines: History, Literature, and Languages. Each award has a value of £26,000 per annum which will cover tuition fees and contribute towards research and training costs. Subject to satisfactory progress, the awards are tenable for up to three years.

Notification: A Selection Committee will meet in March to select the award holders. The winners of the award will be announced in late April 2014.
