The McLaine East/Central European Leadership Program

The Program is designed to encourage interaction among residents from the region and to offer programming about the region to the entire I. House community. Each year, the Program provides financial assistance to some of the more than 60 residents coming from the region.

International House (I. House) is a vibrant community of more than 700 graduate students and trainees who represent more than 100 countries each year. The mission of International House is to enable selected graduate students and interns from countries around the world to live and learn together in a challenging and supportive residential community that builds life-long qualities of leadership, tolerance, respect and friendship among individuals of all nations and backgrounds.

McLaine East and Central European Leadership Program grants will be awarded to applicants from East and Central Europe who are pursuing graduate study at any institution in the New York City area. The McLaine Program is designed to encourage interaction among residents from East and Central Europe and offer programming about the region for the entire I.House community.
