Ten Ph.D. candidate positions in the humanities and social sciences at the Baltic and East European Graduate School, Södertörn University College

The Baltic and East European Graduate School (BEEGS) is located at Södertörns högskola (Södertörn University College) in southern Stockholm, Sweden. BEEGS is a collaboration between Södertörns högskola and other Swedish universities.
BEEGS is part of the Center for Baltic and East European Studies, CBEES, which coordinates Baltic and East European research at Södertörns högskola, organizes conferences and seminars and hosts guest researchers.
It is financed by the Foundation for Baltic and East European Studies. The focus of the research activities of BEEGS is on the Baltic and East European area. The language of instruction is English; thus, fluency in English is required.

Ten Ph.D. candidate positions in the humanities and social sciences at the Baltic and East European Graduate School, Södertörn University College (dnr 260/42/2007) We welcome applications, this year, in Archaeology, Business Administration, Economics, Media and Communications Studies, Philosophy and Sociology.

The employment will be effective February 1, 2008.

How to apply
The application must include three copies of:
1. A completed and signed application form. The form can be downloaded from www.sh.se/beegs .
2. A statement of your intended Ph.D. research plan, about five-six pages (about 14.000 characters with spaces/2000 words) in English.
3. Certified transcripts in English or Swedish of previous undergraduate and graduate studies, with course grades.
4. Your Curriculum Vitae.
5. Your academic theses/essays and other relevant scientific publications. (If you have written your theses/essays in another language than Swedish or English you will also have to include three copies of an English summary in five-six pages, about 14.000 characters with space/2000 words.)
6. References, 1-2 persons who can confirm the academic quality.

Applications which do not contain all information requested or which are not submitted in three complete copies will be disregarded. Applications received after the closing date will be disregarded. Please note that one complete copy of the application will be filed at
