KAUST Discovery Scholarships for talented undergraduate students

King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) is being built in Saudi Arabia as an international, graduate-level research university dedicated to inspiring a new age of scientific achievement in the Kingdom that will also benefit the region and the world. KAUST will be merit-based and will recruit men and women from around the world.

About The Campus
KAUST’s core campus, located on the Red Sea at Thuwal, will sit on more than 36 million square meters, encompassing a marine sanctuary and research facility around a unique coral reef ecosystem. The campus and surrounding community will incorporate a distinctive blend of traditional regional architecture and modern styles and amenities. Key features include:

• World-class research labs and facilities
• Seaside town with a wide variety of  shops, apartments, single-family homes
• Parks, playgrounds, schools for children; golf course, yacht club, marina for adults
• Minimal environmental footprint

About Research
KAUST will focus on research that applies science and technology to the problems of human need, social advancement, and economic development. Rather than organizing around academic disciplines, KAUST will focus on cross-disciplinary, problem-oriented Research Institutes, such as:

• Resources, Energy and Environment
• Biosciences and Bioengineering 
• Materials Science and Engineering
• Applied Mathematics and Computational Science

The KAUST Discovery Scholarship

Discovery Scholarship pokriva troškove preddiplomskih studija u matišnoj zemlji (Hrvatska), nakon čega student produžava sa diplomskim studijem u Saudiskoj Arabiji.

The KAUST Discovery Scholarship is the general scholarship program of the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST).

This program is designed to ensure that any highly talented student who is qualified and eligible to enroll in KAUST will receive full financial support while at the University. Those who receive a Discovery Scholarship will receive full tuition support, a living stipend, and summer and career enrichment programs.

Scholarship Benefits

For the remainder of undergraduate degree, students will receive:

• Full tuition to complete degree at current institution
• A monthly living stipend
• An allowance to purchase textbooks
• An allowance to purchase a laptop computer
• All travel costs associated with participation in KAUST-sponsored enrichment activities, such as: − Scholarship award convocation event − Global workshops at the KAUST campus in Saudi Arabia − Regional workshops

Upon the completion of the undergraduate degree program, students will receive:

• Admittance into a master’s degree program at the KAUST campus in Saudi Arabia
• Full scholarship at KAUST, including tuition, housing and travel costs For more information on the KAUST
