The University of Primorska (UP) has a short history, but it does not lack the determination to grow and strive for excellence. Our approach to research and teaching is explicitly interdisciplinary.
As a university, we believe in strong engagement and collaboration with institutions from abroad. We closely collaborate with over a quarter of the best 500 universities in the world, we are coordinators of the biggest research project in Slovenia, organisers of the largest scientific event in Slovenia, while Multirank placed us among the BEST 25 UNIVERSITIES FOR INTERNATIONAL ORIENTATION OF DEGREE PROGRAMMES.
Our faculties also closely related with local companies and organisations. Therefore, it is not a coincidence, that the Faculty of Tourism Studies is placed in Slovene touristic hub Portoro and Faculty of Health Sciences just next to the hospital. Students have a chance to join research projects and work with their professors, or develop their skills in collaborating companies.
We are an open university attracting international talent, both among staff and students and I invite you to explore the possibilities we offer!
You can choose to study in Slovene or English. In English we offer study programmes in the fields of computer science, data science, management, mathematics, bioinformatics and tourism studies.
